Jean-François Laffineur

Jean-François Laffineur holds degrees in Management Engineering and in Financial Sciences. He began his career in 1998 at PwC Luxembourg as auditor. He then continued at Credit Agricole Indosuez, Milan branch as Project Manager until November 2002, before moving to Ireland to hold the position of Risk & Compliance Officer at Fideuram Asset Management (Ireland) Ltd. In March 2005, he was hired at CACEIS BANK Luxembourg as Deputy Head of Sales. He then joined BG Fund Management Luxembourg in April 2008 as Head of Marketing & Business Development. In August 2009, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, a role he held until November 2022, when he was appointed Chief Risk Officer. Since January 2023, he also holds the position of Conducting Officer of BG FUND MANAGEMENT LUXEMBOURG SA. Since May 2017, he also sits on the boards as a director of LUX IM, BG COLLECTION INVESTMENTS and BG PRIVATE MARKETS SICAV-SIF.
